MICKEY & MINNIE'S ANNIVERSARY PARTY
EGG COOKING METHOD: HARD BOILED
INGREDIENTS
Hard boiled eggs
Nori sheet
Sugar sprinkles
Food colouring (red)
THE MAKING:
MICKEY & MINNIE MOUSES
Gently knock the bottom (any side) of the egg on hard surface to crack the shell as to allow the egg to stand upright;
- Dye the hard boiled eggs with food colouring;
- Cut a piece of rectangle nori sheet that is long enough to surround the egg, wide enough to cover half of the egg. Then, make incisions along the edge nori sheet so that the nori sheet fits the egg perfectly.
Tips: Make sure the nori sheet is slightly wet so that it can adhere to the egg shell.
EARS
Cut circles (2 for each egg) and long tiny strips with pointy end (1 for each egg) from nori sheet;
- Fold a line (near the edge) on each circle. Slightly wet the small folded part and stick it on the top of the egg.
BOW (on Minnie's head)
Cut a small rectangle from red serviette and twist it at the centre. Use little chocolate jam to stick the serviette bow on the head (in between the ears). Glue (with chocolate jam) sugar sprinkles at the centre of the bow.
TAIL
Glue (with chocolate jam) the tiny strip of nori sheet on the egg (the bottom red shell)
MINNIE'S DRESS
Decorate with heart shape sugar sprinkles. Glue them on the red egg shell with chocolate jam.
